Good idea for the theme.

I actually like the background swirls better than the blue drop in the center. I think it would look more abstracted alone and with the recent drop. Maybe try and wait it out a bit next time.
I also think there is some blur do to focus not being spot on.
I havent't tried his myself but I've tried smoke and that's difficult to get sharp so I'm sure this is too.

Maybe also try with a coloured background. Used a piece of cardboard, sheet, pillow or something else with colour in it.

Well done, this is an ideal image for the theme. Fascinating shapes and swirls, and the colour fits the bill perfectly.
Personally, I would crop the curved line at the top out, it would be even more abstract then.
A very good contribution to the theme.

The point of view below the water line works well. It also looks like you stirred the water to get nice faint swirls around the outside, and the dark ink in the middle. The droplets on the outside add to the cold theme too.

Hello Alexandra,

This is a very novel idea for the theme.
The swirls of colour, coupled with the tiny bubbles, give a real feeling of movement.
A crop from the top would improve the overall effect.

This looks like a piece of modern art - it's both simple and complex at the same time, your eyes get dragged around the image, looking at the patterns. Very nice.

Beautiful artistic shot - very sinuous and fluid shapes of the ink, superb contrast in the blue tones and a strong composition with the darker colour running through the centre of the frame.
