Another macro from October...
This time I desaturated the photo, re-saturated the flower, masked the flower and placed into a new layer, replaced part of the original photo with a white rectangle, erased the background in the layer, applied shadow and stroke. In a new layer created from the original photo I removed the noise using median filter (10) and reduced opacity to 75%. last step, resized the canvas (to obtain the frame) and then resized the photo back to 800px. That's about it. I hope this was helpful...

I like the image. However all the work you have described is a little over my head. I like the colours of the flower and the different image you have created.
