[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
the second from the serie, but the first chronologically. I didn't want to scare you from the beggining:)

I was walking in this mountain village thinking about the morning light and what experiments I can try, when I jumped on this event and I didn't hesitate to enter in the courtyard of this pesants (even if I didn't know them until then). I asked if I can take pictures and they said yes. more, they invited me to eat some fresh "shorich" (a very good pork speciality: the pork skin with the hair burned, very fresh and mmmmmm very yummy;) I didn't ate, I wanted just to take pictures. Maybe the last year when we will see something like this, after joing UE...

here I tryed to capture the whole atmosphere and tryng hard to turn the light which was against me in an advantage.

Welcome to the real world! this is merely a photo which reflects what happens everyday.. people chose to ignore the reality and act like hypocrites, "out of sight out of mind", and pork on the dinner table after a speech on animal rights :(( this at least was a happy pig, it could run around on the grass and ate fresh grass etc. how about the pig farms where animals suffer silently, for most it is ok because they do not see what happens at the piggery. Anyway, it seems that joining UE has down sides after all :( tfs Anca..

good journalistic work here anca :)
i like the smoke coming from the meat...the axe and blood on the table...

a lower POV or using the head of the pig as a main subject may giv this photo more impact and mood :)
the busy scene here is making this look like a normal snap shot :)

hope you took some shots with selective focusing :)

Nice shot of real life in the country side. Good pov, light, and the tools of the trade.

ps: on the sociological side, I do not find shots like this offensive. It's not mass slaughter of animals in a slaughterhouse (ie. keeping Macdonalds full of burger patties
:-(, and the meat is definitely not wasted.
