[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Taul Negru is probably the most beautiful alpine lake I've ever seen. Situated in the Retezat nature reserve, I remember it was quite an effort to reach it but well worth. The picture was taken with a Smena 8M camera, that was the most cost/performance effective camera I ever had. The digital darkroom we are using now has a lot of advantages over the bathroom I remember I used to print this picture but the smell of the chemicals has gone...

wonderful BW shot, I like it a lot the textures and the grain. good perspective and great mood!

Well done in b&w; I try to imagine the place; I think a person or a rucksack on the stones would add a plus. But these are history… I’d cut from the upper side and add another frame.

Good choice of paper grade, nice rich black velvet tones.

This is is my kind of space;the image has me wanting to spend the day there with a camera and few rolls of black&white film just watching the
light change.

Hi Tibi! I love granulation here. You're good in BW. This lake very much reminds me of Slovenian Alpine lakes. You know i owned Smena 8m too. In fact it was the only camera my grandad bought for me although his heritage to me was around 15 vintage cameras! I sold Smena to young girl student of photography. I still own more then 100 years old Rodenstock. Enough bragging;). Have a very nice day and thank you for dropping by! JD
