it became some kind of fashion to shoot at piers... wooden structures... textured boards and volumes put in work at right angles... taking you nowhere as they abruptly end above the water or vanish in dense fog.
I avoided this kind of vision.
here, before the sunrise, this pier marks a border. so, I'll stay put and mind my own place in this world as over the lake is a monastery where life is fulfilled with totally different meanings, its inhabitants living by other sets of rules, not on our taste.
us and them, going in the same direction under the sky from the opposite ends of our bond.

Belle composition bien cadrée et bonne utilisation du noir et blanc.
Pourtant, je trouve l'image un peu granuleuse.
