not bad for a first try. It would be interesting to see the original shot, because a snow-shot looks already like black an white... Did you also blur the picture, or was it foggy ? Anyhow, a nice one.

Imi place compozitia si atmosfera din BG dar nu stiu ce sa zic despre PP. N-am nimic cu desaturarea partiala dar faptul ca ai facut si noise reduction (Neat Image ?)tot in zona AN face casa sa para un pic nelalocul ei in toata scena.
E un pic prea brutala si cumva din alt film ca sa zic asa. Nu stiu daca e clar ce vreau sa zic. Eu vad acum casa ca fiind subiectul si nu "tranquility" cum ai vrut tu

Simply stunning Lili, the wooden hut stands out so well against the black and white background. I do like the perspective created by the hut intersecting just beyond the couple walking in the distance.

Wow...as a scene, it is a great and I think you captured it very well. I like the idea that you kept the little house in color and the rest in B&W.
Regarding the post processing, a part of the picture (the house) is a bit oversharpened and the rest is very blurred which makes a lot of the details in the trees and the snow disappear. You could clone the black spot in the snow. Also, the picture needs more space on the right. The house is chopped and the crop should have been a bit wider.
I like the fact that you showed the two people walking in the background... Very dreamy.

Wow... I was logged out of TL and thought I'd log myself back in. And this is what what my eyes fell onto as I logged in. Superb image, Lili! You definitely exaggerated: the noise reduction of the B&W background destroyed lots of detail and the sharpening/saturation of the shack created the opposite effect, some pixelation. However, the overall result is quite stunning. I think it deserves all the points it's gotten thus far. Here's the 200th point!
