[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
The shepherds live in this room for eight months, where the leader making cheese from the sheep's milk for meals and also sale at the market. The fire burns 24/7 for those eight months. There is no electricity or running water. It's quite fantastic really!

This shot was composed of two slide images with the merging being more than a straight forward panoramic merge, thus I would consider it modified. In one of the original images there was another shepherd standing in the background and the lighting conditions were a bit different for each image - one lit by fire and the other lit by white light.

Excellent photo, Dan! I really like your composition here, merging the two slides. Good handling of the light as well - I especially like the fire. Nice documentation of the challenging life for these shepherds.

Life in the fast lane....

Hi Dan

Thnx for sharing this with us. Looking around the picture, it's amazing to see ones life packed in. the fire needs 24/7 as the gaps in the walls are not too draught proof.

Well done

Steve

Wicked sweet capture. The over heard lighting is just perfect the way it illuminates this cheese master at work. Very creative what you did by combining two images to get a a very dynamically lit picture. There is a certain mood created by this that reminds me of an old dutch master painting. Well executed, well done.

peace.

The two lighting conditions combined create a very appealing illumination for this scene. It is interesting to see the environment where the cheese is created and the master at work. Well done on the composition and thanks for sharing.

What a great shot. The merging of the two images worked out well, as the lighting is great in what appears to have been a poorly lit area.
You seem to have truly captured the atmosphere of this place. Well done.

Fantastic report photo! i really like the scenery and the light here!
well done :))
