[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This is part of extraordinary monument dedicated to soldiers that gave their life defending Serbias capital from 1914-1918. It is called "Belgrade defenders 1914-1918" and it is placed on Belgrade's most beautiful cemetery-park Novo groblje. This incredible eagle is one of the best sclupture works I've seen in Serbia and repesents fallen German eagle under serbian soldier at the top of the monument and cannon, which is visible from this pov.

I will add one more shot from different angle, in color and with totaly different story soon.

Hi David,
Nice detail in this sculpture. The detail in the eagle is very good and your POV for the shot is nice. I think the vignetting is a little to dark but still a nice shot. Nice work.

A wonderful tribute, David. Once again showing us that great signature darkness you do so beautifully. I like how you have highlighted the eagle with the vignette. Indeed a beautiful sculpute. You have done it justice.

Absolutely stunning image!!! Your perspective,lighting, detail and treatment of the subject is reverent and extremely artistic. I have not felt such emotion from a photo for quite awhile, not since billy's "Alone & Lonely". This one puts me on my knees! Beautiful dedication to the fallen!!

Atmospheric work, David. The darkening around teh subject is really nice, as it the tint of color youve put into the otherwise black and white shot.
