Cats are amazing and loving mothers.
We have 4 new family members, two striped girls, one black, and one black boy, they are such cute kittens!They came last friday at 3 am and I was the nurse :D
Suprisingly my spoiled cat turned out to be the best mother and all the kittens are happy and fat!

Here are some interesting facts:
Cat pregnancy lasts 58 to 65 days
Litter is usually 3 to 6 kittens
Cat's deliver just like humans during one hour with constant breathing change ( I witnessed that several times before..)and most of the time they are silent and there's not much blood.
If a cat thinks she's in danger she can prolong and postpone delivery up to several hours untill she's found good place. (Years ago my cat waited half the day for us to come home from school and my mother to come home from work to start giving birth, she sat torturing herself in front of the door until we came home, only to deliver kittens in my mother's hands. When mother tried to leave her alone to give birth, cat in pain followed her around the house, so finally mother sat down on the bathroom floor put down a towel and cat lying on her back pushed her legs against my mothers hand and delivered 4 kittens.)
They know which kitten came first and they often carry and bath them by delivery order,
when the kittens don't behave they get paw slap :)

The photo is blury because I took it without flash, didn't want to disturb her.
By the way instruction manual for cameras says:
Do not use flash by small children and animal, often or close range use may cause eyes damage!

I'm saying this because among my friends are some new happy parents who don't miss the opportunity to shot every single blink of their baby, not aware that this may cause damage to the child.

oh nooo.
Unlucky the picture ended up blurry. if not, it could have been one of the greatest 'cat' pictures I have ever see.
but for what you said on your note it's true... no flash on kids or small pets.

Ahhhhhhhhh ! The picture is blurry, or a bit out of focus. I know you didn't want to disturb her, but maybe keeping the camera extra still would have helped a bit too...maybe holding it against something? I totally look forward to seeing more of this cat and the baby...
I really like the frame and presentation,and the eye colour is out of this world!

c'est dommage que la photo ne soit ps tout à fait nette car la scene est tres touchante ! j'ai la meme chose a la maison avec 2 chattes !!!
