[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This is one of the old houses in my town. I have been haunting it for a while, trying to choose an angle for a photo. This is one of the ideas.
The house dates back from the beginning of the 20th century, and nobody lives there anymore.
It's on sale, so if anyone is interested, let me know ;D

I took this picture after a rainy day, to get the rust more visible and coloures enhanced.
PP work: slight crop on the right, feature 'clarify' in Corel Paint Pro X to bring out the details, clearing the noise from the sky, framing, resizing.

I will post B&W version as a workshop.

Hi Marija,
love the tilt of course and those great gorgeous colors : ) I like the colored version...
Thanks
Fred

Nice composition, Marija! It reminds me of the church in Rome I posted a while back. Did you notice the cloud aligned with the tip of the rotonda; looks like a giant nasal spray! Great job on the PP work, just enough applied. Great job!

Very nice composition and intersting story about the house! I liked the WS version in BW as well.

Best wishes,
Steve

Hi Mare!
Don't like the B&W version because this one tells more stories. RUst and old paint works very well here, but I like the most that slight glow you created arounf the building, as well as that (PP?) thin white cloud line that goes from the tower into the sky. Great detail which makes the composition much more powerful than this diagonal POV, which is also well chosen.
You are really proven here as a very good architectural photographer, congatulations! You just need yourself a decent tripod for a birthday! ;)
Regards,
Petko

Nice & lovely colors Marija. The blue sky looks stonishing. You've shot it at a nice angle. BTW, it seems that the sharp point of the tower has broken into the sky and made a crack on it. Very ncie.

Have a nice day,
Mohammadreza

Marija,
this a wonderful composition the slight tilt draws the eye along the corner of the house to the tip of the roof. The colors are amazing it brings out the details and beauti of this building.
The b/w picture is very nice too, but somehow my eyes get drawn to the sky instead of the building.
Very nice shot. Thx for sharing.
Sky

You got this just the way its suppose to be. The tilt does create a better impact. We tend to look right up at it. Nice detail on a very neat capture.

Nice architectural picture showing the corner details of this old house. The clouds & the sky adds a nice dimension to this picture and I also prefer the colour version. Well done!

Discolouration adds to the colour version and also adds extra tones to the BW. Always a difficult decision to make and the best answer is to post both!! Gives us the opportunity of having to decide.
Interesting buiding with some history, of course, and presented in a very teasing way ... I want to see MORE of it!
Tilt is very good. Final composition is A1. Col, BW, col, BW, col ...

So, as is my wont, I played and have come up with a combination of both, using the Midas Touch sequence. I will post it tomorrow. So set traps.

great POV!

I wonder...how big it is, how much it costs? We also have an old hpouse to sell, a real palace with 46 rooms:), from the beh\ginig of the 20th setury...we strugle for a year, but when we'll do i shall be rich:)), in the mean time pay the taxes;))

Too bad nobody wants to repair it...i shall make pictures with mu\y house in bucharest next month, promise, in the mean time, you can see it here

Angle is well caught here and the result is super, good colour and interest. tfs

Wonderful composition I like the not straight way of capture...well done my friend.

Jos

It's in your town?!?! I'm buying!!!!

Good job Marija. You colors are well saturated, your POV is great. I like the "tip"'s line pointing to the nice blue sky.

Fine work as always Madame.

Ben.
