Hello Marija,
nice shot, nice B&W, probably good with colors too.
Nice perspective and POV.
I am just missing a bit of the rear view mirror and the front wheel.
Regards,
Alberto.
Grest POV! I like the way you included the road. Your friend must be quite please with your gift to him.
It's a good thing his new toy is not a 4x4. ;o)
Have a great day.
Ben.
Dear Marija, I especially like the long way in the background, gives the picture great depth. The cut side mirror also hassles me a little bit but the front wheel is fine. Otherwise picture technicall well done too. Good work. Yours, Jan
I'd think Alexander will like this one just fine. It's a masculine B&W w. Good job,
Scott
I had a motorcycle way back when, so I can understand how he feels! Good inclusion of the road, like he's coming from nowhere just to say hello! Really effective shot!
Hi Marija,
Great picture, good exposure even in the dark recesses of the helmet.
Nice POV, including the road gives good perspective and depth to the shot.
Black and white works well.
Makes me want one again.
Best wishes
Rob :))
Great shot Marija, good texture and light.
The cut mirror doesn't bother me!
Thanks for sharing.
Michael.
It looks like a masculine picture based on the previous comments. I think you've achieved the result you wanted. What bothers me a little is the top of his helmet. It seems to be dissolving in the sky.

Nicely done, Marija, even if a bit tight on the left & at the bottom. Katya has already noticed the disapearance of the helmet in the sky and there also seems to be a halo around him...maybe it his excitment that we are seeing!!! Otherwise, I really like the inclusion of the road that seems to be leading nowhere. Good conversion to B&W. I am certain your friend will like this picture. Well done!
Suggestion!? Just put that photo in a nice frame and offer it to him... You want to be original? Go yourself in rollerblade... 110km lol! You will be in good shape :)
Sériously it's a nice portrait. The texture of the road behind is excellent. That point of view show just the road on is left.

I like this B&W and ... his new toy!
Ciao

Oh I can understand Alexander! I would be happy to have a YZF R1 "toy" :))))
I remember buying my brand new car 2 years ago! I felt I have to show it to everybody! :)
Great angle Marija and a nice portrait!
cheers
ToM
ps: tell me it's blue!!! :)
Hi Marija,
I understand him when I have a new toy (camera, car, ...) I need to share it :))
I like your portrait with this very nice POV and this road tha seems to come from nowhere. Very well done.

Awsome composition and point of view. Just a pity a small part of the mirror is missing. I bet he is going to love this one. Well done on the sharpness.

Never cut any part of anyone's toy if you want to capture it!! That's number one :)
Actually, this is really a nice shot to give him as a present, hope he will be proud of it. of course, if taken in color!!!
2nd, if you want to take a photo of his essence, you know - a voyager, restless soul, I would take higher POV to capture only the wheel, his head with helmet and a blurred road fading in the distance. But that wouldn't present his toy, so since this one is for the new toy, the other one would be forever ;)
All in all, I think you did a very good job here, with that little exception of cropping the mirror and tyre. Compo is very interesting and I like that road in the background.

hi Maria :)
the composition here is good, it shows off the bike and rider very well
the lower POV makes it look more impressive, well framed to leave a little room for depth on the right
the only thing i would change may be just the tones and contrast
the clear skies in the background makes the photo look a little dull in b/w
slight reduction on the levels and increasing the contrast should help, and a slight vignette filter always makes a b/w photo look more interesting :)
update:
i tried a little workshop to increased the contrast and darken the photo, also used the soft vignette filter to giv it more density :)
hope you like it Maria :)

Superb photo. The background gives much mystery to your friend. It would be said come from nowhere as traveller of space! And the black and white add many class to a photo which has it already much!Bravo Marija! Annie

Classic 'On The Road' still. The off-BW treatment is very nice and the road to nowhere in the b/g is endearing, if a road can be such!
Clipped the mirror AND the bottom of the wheel/tyre. M, you are demoted to M70. All that cancelled out by the position of the booteed foot, wich happens to point in just the right direction.
Rips' WS makes it more 'macho' but I like this one. The POV is low enough to get the expected presentation. Lower would be more dramatic but would create other little difficulties. My guess is that you tried a number of angles. You chose the right one.

Great shot. I really like the b&w effect and the detail in this shot. I know how happy he must have been and I miss my "toy" very much. Maybe someday. :)
Keep shooting,

Hello Maija,
Most of your posts are really fantastic, taken with lots of passion and perfect photographic skills. I chose this one because you even made the best of a technical object that carries the spirit of his owner. Your friend Alexander must be very lucky. Well done. TFS. Thomas
