As usual a wonderful composition, Marija. You truly have an eye for this type of artistic presentation. I really like this chair in between the two walls and the almost B&W feel to this picture as white is the dominant colour. Nice choice of the elongated format. Excellent!

P.S. I don't think it is oversharpned, I think it is fine as is.

I love empty chair shots - so much atmosphere - but I always want to go and sit on them! Great textures in this one and love the bluey shadows. Wonderful! I Think the sharpening is fine. Have a great weekend too!

it's very interesting to check how a personn change here... starting from the first pictures... with pauses... you have in your portfolio many argouments from portraits to still-life... with success..... I preffer (but it's only my personal taste) the still-life.. because I feel traces of people in the objects yo catch.. as you do in this.... an dyou do in a very great mode

Great work Madame.

Very sharp, good white balance. The compo works very well (Your specialty) And I love the shadow that forms a nice double curve. You subject is perfect. I would love to use this set up by adding the beautiful and very photogenic Marija sitting on the chair (Reversed) and wearing red and red lipstick.

I would use my new Nikkor 60 mm micro 2.8. – The one that Manny uses. ;o) That would make a killer portrait.
I can only imagine the intencity of your look you would have with your dark eyes, penetrating the lens, straight down the photographer spine. Wow! ;oD

Funny that you mentioned the over-sharpening: that was my first reaction when I looked at your picture! Having said that, it is a minor fault. The rest of the image is fantastic. Great compo and great light, specially the shadows on the wall. Great stuff!

Splendid composition as usual. The chair seems to be the main object of your photo, but I believe that with the selected angle it is the light the vedette. Without it what would be this chair otherwise a banal object! A masterpiece! Bravo!

it's an interesting shot, i like the contrast between the walls, the floor and the chair, although their all white, their tones are different which really adds to this wonderful shot!

Hi Marija, a simple idea yet a complex photo and an excellent still life. I like the heavy triangular shadows and triangle shapes/lines that converge on the main subject, the chair. The colour tones and textures are superb. Well done and a favourite.

Yes, the textures and shadows are sooo nice here! Everything (lines) seems to lead to the chair!

But...be careful sitting there. It looks as though the chair could crumble underneath you, and that wouldn't be a very graceful fall, would it?! Not cool. Not cool at all. :)))

I hope that you and Nadia have a wonderful Easter, Marija. It's so odd that different cultures celebrate at different times. :)

You know how some people cannot resist touching when there is a WET PAINT sign? It is much the same when there is an empty chair and no-one around. There is that slight temptation to take a seat and experience what the chair has to offer.
Then, a white chair in a white environment (using the term white loosely) is akin to a scene from a fantasy story (of which, please give ZorroII some treatment for his ailment). The unicorn will gallop into the frame any moment.
Then, the arrangement of the elements and the light creating textures and shadows.
Then, the signs of decay and neglect are always fascinating - in different ways to different people. My wife would find her cleaning materials and get stuck in right here and expect me to repaint the chair.

I like the retro feel provided by the chair and especially that there is only one rib on the leaning area. Though old, shabby, it looks firm and steady on the ground. Not oversharpened. Texture of the walls is splendidly captured. Excellent work!

Hi Marija,
what I like the most is how this scene is arranged. Would say it's kind of suspense - what's behind the chair? All the shadows point to the chair, it's shadow leads to tghe unknown. This strongly reminds me of one scene from my favorite movie "Mulholland Drive". There was something (or rather someone...) behind the corner... I like the textures here and as of overharpening: not even a single evidence of it for me. Great compo Marija. tfs

Something very correct and something slightly odd about this photo. but my reaction to it instantly is that there is some quality it has that appeals to us at an unconscious level.
excellent lighting - wouldnt have made the border/mat as big though.
