[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
One of the BC rejects...I hope you don't take this as a Coke ad (I myself don't like it at all, they make far too much money for selling tinted bubbled water). Just spotted this pony bike (or at least that's the name of this kind of a bicycle here) in front of a shop and I liked the position of it in front of the bars and this red colour.
Now, I focused on the saddle and not the wheel and I wonder if that was a mistake. Also, cropping the wheel was tricky ...maybe it should have been cut in half?
Any suggestions for the title? I always have problems with them:(

No PP work except cropping, raising contrast just a tinge and noise reduction (only to get rid of some dust on the wheel).

only thing that might bother me is DOf, the plans sort of mix, but overall I like it! the red is good for my toired eyes..had my exam today;-))
BTW, I'm more of a water person myself;-)))

Hi marija,
Great red photo with such a big luck factor that you ran into this scenery....or is it just good eyes...probably the latter. About your questions, maybe a heavier crop on the right might have been better....not showing the b/g next to the vendor machine. About the title, how about A red pony bike infront of a red fence and red vendor machine :-P I am not good it titles myself. Red seems to be working for me.
I love the contrast of this photo.

Red, red and - wait a moment - red again. How fortuitous! (Testing your English!)
Focus looks fine throughout. Crop ... the right side perhaps should be more of a crop - or less. The chosen crop looks like an error, a case of sitting on the fence? Maybe I'd have gone for a little more of a cut. Just to make sure ;)
Title? - I have enough trouble generating my own! Unless a small fee was involved?

For shure we will see the add of Coke at first plan (This is my impression)cause it's an international product with an agressive advertisement campain. And the point i enjoy in the same moment... I just say Red, red and red... A trio of red... Add, grid and bike! And that's good!

Hi Marija,

Don't shoot me but I don't think it is your best work (this comment will most likely contradict everything that has been written above). This photo is just too busy. Too many details, too much of a red color. Eyes get lost in trying to focus on something distinct.

On a more positive note, I like your composition, maybe a bit too tight around the wheel, but it works for me.

I'll look at your BC entry now ... :)

This is such an amazing photograph Marija. Wow! All the elements work. It almost looks like a (mise en scene) or staged/fixed but I know it’s not. It evokes perfection.
I love the used seat. And last but not least Coke. To me it’s not pub but an element that contributes to our daily scope/view. It’s like seeing a building, a car or a bus.

Right into my favorites.

PS : The D50 serves you well.

How about "It's the Wheel Thing?" Lol! Just kidding. ;)

I do love red, and I think a red bicycle is just the best! You ask some good questions. I kind of like the idea of cropping the wheel, just to be a little quirky - not sure about the saddle vs. the wheel. Couldn't you get both, with a different f-stop?

I like the composition. In this case I think as the wheel is the most prominent part of the subject, perhaps the tire would be a good place to focus on.

I must admit, this one is great IMO. You do not have to be ashamed of it Marija! I like your composition here. A lot of steel framing with the fence and the bike. But that is OK.

re: the Coca-Cola, of course the drink is not the healthier drink on earth. It is one of the worst in fact , even if it is one of the biggest seller. Strange fact. It goes in the same category as MacDonald's food anyway....IMO.Biggest chain of restaurants in the world !

But that's is not the point here.
Sunbjects: That is indeed a tricky point. It comes so naturally , at times., And in some cases, we are scratching our head a long time before finding one. Here , I have no idea at all. (^_^)
