Marija...you have courage to show this.
I always delete my homlesspeople photos..it makes me feel very very sad....
As for a photo, i would have left a little more space in the left side,he's getting a litlle out of frame.

Hi Marija,
Very strong composition with a really sad subject! The B&W effect enhances the details and the misery of this man. Nice POV and contrast!
Well done!

Great photo Marija like the black and white touch. Homeless and destitute is sad wherever it is in the world.
best wishes
Rob :)

......some time by choice and I don't blame them at all. Obviously, some are not by choice and that is terrible.
I missed 2 master pieces!
Yes! A portrait. Your usage of BW and choice of contrast is perfectly dramatic.
Well presented Madame!

A B&W in harmony with the subject of this photo. I think that what is saddest, it is neither the black nor the white but rather the gray zone in which is plunged too much human like this poor man. An impervious (is this the good word?) zone which resists to compassion and sharing. Thank you Marija and have a nice weekend ! Annie

Hi Maria.
Sad picture. We are lucky to have cameras and computers, uploading and comment pictures, while men and women are living in the streets, asking theirselves if next winter will be cold or not.
You've captured all the dayly life of this man in an image. Good composition, black and white election, and light.
Thanks,
Enric.

Hi Maria, no words can explain how harsh this world is. Unfortunately more and more older people are getting in this situation.
Very strong image.

Hi Maria,
As Kitt said, no need for a note. The photo says it all. About the space on the left side, I am sure that it would have given too much distraction, since I can already see a reflection of part of a car in the window. So you were forced to crop it like this. I actually don't mind this kind of crop at all.
TFS,
Niek

When an image speaks by itself, no need for a note! And this is the case. The B&W conversion is excellent and works well with the subject. Well done!

It's something most of us don't like to think about Marija. It is also something most of us SHOULD think about.

That is possible to tell - tragically. The closed door very well plays on idea.
You know Marija...sometimes a picture says a thousand words...this says a million. Whenever i come across something like this....i just say to myself 'sometimes life is like that'. A very powerful image.
very good photo but unfortunately sad story...
