Taken one day after the rain...I liked the light even though it was almost dusk.

PP: slight crop on the sides, conversion to sepia and darkening the corners.

Happy week to everyone :) !!

I like this very much. The sepia toning helps to keep the end-of-the-day mood that I think you set out to achieve. The placement of the cyclist in the frame is good and the roadway leads the eye into the picture. The wet pavement also helps to create a somber mood that goes well with the feeling I think you are trying to achieve.

going home or leaving home after having a conflict with her wife ; D
Yes the light is good...

It's a nice catch, no doubt about it. The sepia, however, brings a touch of old b&w photos that changed to yellow through time. Nice going away mood.

What a wonderful photo Marija the mood is so well captured...this picture is a story...my compliments my dear friend.

Mr. T.

Nice photo Ms Gencic, I like the sepia effect you created, and the darkened corners holds your attention on the subject.
Good one.
Best wishes
Rob :)

Hi,
Great capture. The sephia is very good (makes the contrast better).
A simple but powerfull photo.
I love it.
Good work.

Hello my dear friend Marija... I do like the sepia tone in the composition; it fits perfectly with its mood... The lines are very well balanced in it with the objects... Great work... Take care...

Hello Marija, the thumbnail is very eye-catching and this is even better. Lovely composition, and the colours / sepia suit the scene perfectly. Well done,

Hi Marija,
Very good composition! And your sepia traitment gives it an atmosphere. I like the light on the road. It accentuates the monotonous aspect of return to the house after the work, day after day. Bravo ! Annie

Hello Maria!

B&W at it's best. Lovely composition and light! Nice idea to darkened the corners A voyage in time!
Congratulations , nice PP!

Very nice composition with beautiful tones. I like your pp. B

I didn't see this;-)
what a quiet photo, Marija, such peace!
typical country after rain atmosphere.

I like this a lot!
Sabina

I like this picture because it seems to capture so much more than it does, the sepia tone gives it this meaning, i would have only darkened the sides of the road a bit more to draw the eye along the road.

Very nicely done, Marija. I agree with Bob that the composition would have been stronger if you had either put in the lower left or the upper left but it still works as is because of the nice light and the road still wet from the rain. Nice treatment to give a very interesting mood. Well done!

There is a delightful word in the English language - 'emotive'. Generates emotion, as if you didn't know already ;)
This is emotive and there need be no explantion attached to this. The viewer sees and the emotional reaction is immediate. Therefore, ignoring any technical aspect, the presentation is an undoubted success.
That said, congratulations on the technical aspect ;)

Bok Marija

Lijepo, puno atmosfere. Dobro komponirano, a sepia ton nekako pojačava nostalgičnost cijele scene.
Dobra fotka
Pozdrav Darko

THANKS and have a great day,

Hi Marija,
Great shot! Yes, the light is lovely. I like how you converted the photo to sepia. It brings out the details, highlights and shadows nicely. I also like the composition and POV with the man on the bike, the road and trees, all giving good depth to the photo. Well captured!

Great moody capture; driving towards the well deserved drink at home. NIce to have just driving through the water with the light to the right; Great light!

Hi Marija,

Lovely photo of daily life! I like the sepia look you used here. It enhances the dull weather and the dusk. Nice POV!
Well done!

Constantinos

I feel like screaming, "GET IN THE LIGHT!!!"
I wonder what it would have look like with out the flash?

But it doesn't matter. It's actually a shot I always wanted to do. Did you see the famous photo and I can't recall the author; it's a small French boy with a beret and baguette bread on the back of his bike in the same perspective as your photo? A masterpiece.

Nevertheless, this is great work Marija. I see you are maximizing the many possibilities of the D50.

Hi M,
beautiful light and nice POV.

A nice moment in time, with a very interesting light. Funny how you stopped the motion right in the pudddle! Nice one!

Wonderful light, and you did well choosing the sepia for this one. I love the way his knees are sticking out, and you caught him just as he was going through the little puddle. There's nothing nicer than a country lane, unless it's a country lane with rain puddles... :D

Superbe shot, Marija!
Thanks for sharing.
Ciao

Hello Marija, this is lovely! I love the mood here, and the man! What a great subject you have here.

Your choice for sepia goes so well with the mood. It's nice to see the man on the bike. It looks like an old photo.

Very well done! Take care, Yan :)

Great capture Marija. Lovely mood. I can almost feel as though I'm there. The vignetting is a nice touch to focus the viewer.

This is a very sensitive, very heartfelt expressive photograph. One can almost feel the tiredness in the muscles.
