The last one from the fair, i hope I am not boring you. I miss working on pictures in colour anyway.
This is again a merry-go-around. My daughter was on it, and I stood behind the fence, placed the camera on it to prevent shake and focused on the pole in the centre. Just wanted to see how it would look, and this is one of the several shots I took. I wish I could have taken in from farther distance, but it was impossible because of the crowd.
PP: again it looked better in B&W to me, and I also applied 'satin steel' filter from OpticVerve Lab's. Played with the curves for a while to darken the area inside the circle but leave the lines of the poles visible. Neat imaged, resized.

Hi Marija,
I love that satin steel filter here. The speed is indeed captured well. Great experimental/abstract. And yes as Were said it takes on the look of the classic flying saucer. Great movement and nice use of the fence. The whitish lines(supports I presume) coming out from the center of the pole look really great almost like rays of light extending out. Nope not bored at all.....nice work.

Very nice one, Marija, and no you are not boring us with your pictures from the Fair as they are all very good and provides some good images. This one does look like it is going to start flying on its own as the pole does not seem to be attached to anything anymore. Your treatment adds a lot of the picture. Well done!

beautiful! I love the composition and tilt. The blur is of course very nice. I have a similar ones I took. I am working on my fair photos now. Hope you like mine. ;) JP

Hi Maria,
Nice shot. Good composition and use of frame space. Like all the motion you caught. This thing really looks like its going face and ready to fly back to its home planet. ;P (Oh, I know, you got a lot of comments about UFO's, but, I couldn't resist). Your pp color work on it is agreeable to me...very nice...
Well done.
Take care!
Richard

Wow, this is a closest look of an UFO I've ever seen! :)))
Nice effect Marija, and the colours are well chosen. The only think I miss is the info about the exposure!! I like to see, especially when its a longexpo., what shutterspeed you used to get such a good result!!! :)

You always amaze me by the way you see things, shapes, objects around you. Somehow, you tend not to see them in their present shape, but rather contemplate what could become of them, note their potentials, their inner energy. No doubt, it is a great gift to humanize even the most static of objects.

My fav detail here - the cartoon like lines along the top edge of saucer, they give such nice feeling of speed and action.

Bravo Maria!

ComplimentS!

Hi, Marija! The "satin steel" filter worked very well here! You know, I can't really say why I like this. Theoretically, I shouldn't, because it's not the kind of thing I usually like, but there's just something about it...Kind of like the bicycle tires in the window...

Good job!
Gayle

Great photo Marija...personal I think the best of your fair photos. You can see the movement in this picture and the use of B&W makes it complete. Well done ;-)

Jos

Yes, this really looks like a flying saucer! :))
You captured the movement in a very interesing way, but I mostly like your choice of blue (satin) for this. A bit spooky or like from "The Twilight Zone", but very powerful.

Great job done, TFS!

Hello Maria,
this reminds me of a German TV-series from the 1960's called "Raumschiff Orion" (Spaceship Orion), still a cult today in Germany. The spaceship looked almost exactly like what you present here. Good work, and for me personally, a nice rememberance!
Thanks for sharing, be well!
Guntram
