[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
How many dimensions do we, humans, have? I think...more than we could ever imagine...

This is wierd, I know.

I am posting the original as a workshop. It's a photo of an African wooden mask I made in an art shop. At first, I didn't want too much post processing, but looking at the patterns all over it gave me this idea to create multiple 'layers' on one thing. I like archeotypes...thats why I like mythology and everything about it. Even though this is an item related to a specific religion, Africa is, after all, the cradle of all human kind.

So, PP: cropping, used spherised filter, then faded it,little by little as it kept the lines as I went further (not sure if I am explaining this right:/)...turned to grayscale, shadows/highlights adjustments, decided on the cooling filter as I thought in blue it would look more abstract; framed, resized.

Awesome PP work Marija! Using the right filters is an art and I guess you got everything just right! I like your original too. You seem to be developing your own style of frames. They sure suit your image. Nicely done. TFS :)

This is a wonderful creation out of an already quite well taken picture Marija. The mask has a very steely look now - bionic and futuristic. Love your frame too.

maria,
my thought exactly when i posted my own mask photos. we have different dimensions and it is apparent in our actions.
i like the posted verion better than the ws version. it is simple yet thought provoking. good choice of color and good texture. nice tight cropping makes the intended impact.
