I like the idea of this photo and the colors. It has a wonderful feeling.
It does look like a painting but I think you have lost some of the details in the buildings. The mood is good and the road is a fine part of the composition.
I want to see more on the right side, I feel like it's clipped. But you made a good decision to keep it simple.
Marija,
The 'automatic' information you see is called 'EXIF' data. Whenever you take a picture (on most) digital cameras, EXIF data is saved with the original picture.
Some photo editing software will strip off the EXIF information. I bet you are using Photoshop's 'save for web' option. Try using 'Save As' next time, and it should keep the EXIF data, which TrekLens will read and import into your post for you.
Asside from the gory boring technical notes.. I love the almost surreal colors of this shot! Nicely captured and edited.
Hi Marija
Beautiful warm colours. Old buildings add interest as do the tyre marks on road. Perhaps a person in the picture-just past the large wooden doors- would improve

Hi Marija,
I like your composition here..with warm yellow on one side..I even like the tyre tracks showing some activity in the recent past. But I would also like to have seen more details of the houses on the right too. Did you try a frontal view of the same place, because I think they are quite colourful and have nice varied textures. I am sure you would have done it if it were possible...
I was just thinking out aloud here. I like the picture as it is too. Good work. TFS!
Regards
Lakshmi
Nice colors with classical, although too tight composition. Usually the road lines (some of them) should go from the corners of the photo and that makes the composition strong. Well, at least that's what they told me, so I did that on my todays post :)
Colors are very powerful, you did a good job by capturing a moment of aging. Still, the photo would be quite ordinary if there weren't this thick white frame, it emphasisez both composition and colors very well. Great work!
And about the picture information. It's called EXIF data and is usually embeded within the JPEG file. In PS you can right-click on the window title bar of that photo and select "File info". You can see that data under "Section -> EXIF". If your picture editing software (Photoshop?) manages that data well, then it will be preserved. I think that PS 6 doesn't handle that well, while PS 7 and CS knows how to deal with that data. But, that only means that it will be preserved if you edit original photo. On the other hand, if you are taking blank PS document and you try to copy-paste some shot from your camera as a new layer, that data wouldn't be preserved. Shortly, whenever you want to post photo here, open the original shot and then do the PP work on it. You may save it under different name and EXIF data will be preserved.
TrekLens upload page knows how to read EXIF data, and that's why your photo data are sometimes entered automatically, plus you can choose whether to show, supress or hide additional info (EXIF data).
OK, hope I helped a bit, see you!
Pozdrav!

cool photo! I love the colors. Of course your composition is good as usual. The frame is huge! lol. But it works. Looks like it is hanging in a gallery. Nice job! JP

Hi Maria,
Nice shot! I know it's the slums we're looking at. But, you make it look so pretty with the pp work you did on it. The colors are so pleasant. And the golden dirt road is so soft and warm. Your composition is so nice, too. It's got diagonal movement, but, at the same time it's divided pretty much into 3 triangles that converge out to the left...nice....
Well done!

Nice Picture Marija! I like your idea of compo. I am not sure if I would have taken the risk of this compo myself. ;-) Thanks for it!

I think this is truly beautiful picture for its natural rich colours. The smooth patterns of brick, wood and roof tiles are so warm and the iron gate on the right is a great contrasty detail wich is visually tied with the bare tree branches on the left. The yellow road (not bricked though :)) so nicely contrasts with the blue skies but is in colour harmony with the old brown houses. Yes, this picture is all harmony embedded with contrasts and this way I like it very much.
BTW, the frame is awesome! :)

G'day Marija, I like the warm colours of this photo very much. The tyre marks in the dirt add an extra dimension too. Congrats on another excellent photo!

Hi Marija,
It's been a while I didn't see your photos.
I guess for your technical questions, you've already got the answer. I do face that too sometimes...for me it's because when I crop (select, copy and paste to a new image) I loose all the EXIF data. I haven't figure this out yet.
As for the photo, indeed it looks like a painting (a nice one at that!)...as for the road, it tends to lead the eye away. But apart from that, it's a very nice compo...lovely colours! TFS M. :)

Hi Marija,
Adding this humongous frame ( :) ) did make this picture look like a painting hanging on the wall in the museum. I love the colors you got from the camera and the way the road makes a bit of a curve. You made those old falling-apart buildings look very attractive.
Great work!

The beauty in this picture is the simpleness in composition. Just slant your eyes to see the basic patches. The rural details make it charming. Not one of your usual pictures, but just as good.

What a nice photo, Looks like an 1600 AC painting
Glad we just can see a little of the road on left,
that stongly underlines the curve of the road !
A Tulip and greetings from Holland
