[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This shot comprised of three images taken enroute from Budapest, Hungary to Kosice, Slovakia. The first image taken was what is in the windows, the train outside. The second was of the nun looking out the window and the last was a capture of the inside of the train since it was impossible to get a decent exposure of both the nun and the dark inside of the train.

The visible train through the window is great and we asviewrs get the feeling of being only a few feet from her. I love the billowing veil and her interest in the scenery comes through very clearly.
Your work is phenomenal.

this is a magical photograph, so unique and so special one of a kind,

its beautiful watching her watch the scenerie and the fact you can only see part of her cheek

its really beautiful and serene 50 points for this photo

Excellent PP work on inserting the view in the windows, Dan. The work on the nun is more obvious though, since she appears to have a halo around her. Not a divine one, I'm afraid ;o).
(Not around her face and arm, but on the dark parts of her costume it is quite visible).
Anyway, TFS.

awesome picture, the post processing perhaps may be a little too much...i think this is what id do if i had composed this shot...it seems that all the countries of the former Eastern Bloc have the same Soviet-style trains

Thanks for sharing

Hi Dan!
Excellent post-processing and mixture of three photos. The curve of the train outside is very good, the brightness and sharpness of the train inside gives a good effect, and finally the attitude of the nun is very interesting! She does seem to enjoy the freedom. Such a view would rarely be possible in Western Europe, and probably will be rare in the "New Countries" in a few years time too. They will get used to the consumers society, and not many will choose religious orders as a way of life! For better? For worse?
Thanks for sharing anyway!
Marie Louise.
