[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
There are moments in life when you have the impression of standing behind yourself and looking over your own shoulder - and wondering what that crazy photographer is up to. Finding this sculpture in the streets of Bratislava was one of those moments. They have several similarly funny bronze figures at various places in the inner city. But this one is of course quite relevant to a lot of us amateur paparazzis.

Technically I have to admit that I replaced the grey sky with a blue one. Now, you can all say you spotted that immediately.

The same subject, photographed by Green from a different angle can be found here.

Good catch, Per! Youd did well on the sky, but for the small amount that was left, I think that the cloudy version would have been fine. Good composition, and you waited at the right moment to get two pedestrians as victims of the paparrazi. Nice one!

Well, the white line on the left building's roof really did look conspicuous to me, Per ;o). But at first sight the sky looks ok like this...
I like the angle you used for this shot. Light on both statue and street scene is well controlled.

It is perfect; especially, the sign that emphasizes "papparazzi" and the monument that symbolize this concept successfully... Excellent...

Very good observation, Per. The statue, the restaurant name and the people walking away from the photographer makes it a very funny & interesting picture. Well done!

Well done.

Well done on the composition. Very good sharp image. I'd love to see these statues in my town.

Hello Per,

Tournesol just told me that you've posted this picture just few hours before my own picture of this statue. I had to go see your version. Funny thought that I didn't see it before as I've set countries alert for Slovakia but I didn't receive any alert for this picture.

Anyway I like the angle you've used. Specially because the figure seems to be spying and taking picture of the people on the street. When I was there, I didn't even thought of staging the subject as you did. Well done.

Cheers,

Romain

I like both ( yours and Green's shot).
Yours is very funny, with this dark statue. the statue seems to shoot this couple going away. Perhaps they were not supposed to be together .... (^_*)
Well seen and captured.
Robert

Hi, great composition and lighting, it's really humorous with the sign right there! I think replacing the sky is fine, but I would have zoomed in more while editing to get a more accurate selection, and I would not have used a blur on the edges. It's very time-consuming, but you will end up with a more convincing result and nobody will be able to guess that the sky was not really blue!

Thanks for sharing!

Erin

How convenient for all of us who enjoy this crazy hobby. It is funny... to come accross this guy if you have a camera hanging down your neck. Couldn't get any better.
