[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This chateau is a dominant object of Betliar village, which is located 10 kilometres on the North of the district town of Roznava.
Betliar was owned by the powerful family of Stitnicky (Cetnekovy) and since 1642 it was inherited by Andrassy family clan. The members of Andrassy family gave permission to build a unique manor house in the village at the beginning of 18th century.
Built in the renaissance - baroque style with many hunting features, the manor house is a beautiful example of family history and old hunting traditions. The manor house was rebuilt into classicist style (between 1792 and 1795) and moderately sized English park and garden have certainly contributed to the value of the house. This family manor house was inhabited until 1945.

HI Elzbieta,
Nice building and you capture it well. Lights are really nice on the top. Pity you cut off a bit of the tower...
Nice Job anyway
