I appreciate the crop here not showing any sky , i believe it wasn't adding to the shot i presume , it seems overcast , the person is a great addition but a little more room to his left perhaps , an old town atmosphere emanates from this street scene , a city i enjoyed too , tfs,

I know this street very well. When I was at university I passed here every day (lots of great pubs here). Very beautiful POV and great perspective. Excellent composition and colours.

And yes...I prefer the last theory too :)

I agree with you!
It is beloved.
I like the the details of the houses, perticularly the red rooves with their attic windows.
Your pov, including the gentle curve, leads us gently around the shot; the man assists as we follow his lead.

this ambience in cloudy day is very tasteful,
the flat light with almost no shadow shows us clear but a little surrealistic view of this old street.
a kind of nostalgic feeling and this atmosphere looks timeless...
