This is a shot I made in Slovenia, not far from the Italion border.
With some PPwork this came up. I like this better than the original picture.
Hope you do too.

Did some saturation, colourtone and used xerofilter.

The title fits it perfectly, it really does seem surreal. Very artistic with interesting colors. Well done.

You chose the right spot to take this shot Joop. The perspective of lake and mountains is accentuated by the trees in the center of the pic.

I liked the photo so much that I had to play with it. I agree that you have to do something with colours. When you are there it is nice. But at home and presenting other people it can be dull. Maak er wat moois van van Gogh deed niet anders.

Hoi Joop,
Inderdaad een bijzonder resultaat. Het krijgt iets sprookjesachtig op deze manier. Ik moet onwillekeurig denken aan de beelden die ik net op het journaal zag van alle wateroverlast in de alpen. Wat een contrast daarmee.

At first I thought you had visited Maligne Lake near Jasper, Alberta - there is a very similar scene there. Nice effect from the PP.
