Statue commemorating the four men who first reached the summit of Triglav, Lake Bohinj, (Bohinjsko Jezero), Slovenia

Ribčev Laz is situated in Triglav National Park, with the Julian Alps and mount Triglav very close by.

On the eastern bank of Lake Bohinj in Ribčev Laz, stands the 15th-century Gothic church of Sveti Janez (St. John). The small church has a fine bell tower and contains a number of notable 15th- and 16th-century frescoes.

:) you made me smile with your post. I have seen this statue a lot of times, but so far I never remembered to take a shot of it. Thanks for the idea.

Very beautiful light in your photo, nice colours as well. I like this POV and composition with the church tower in the BG.

I imagine that is how they stood to contemplate and pat each other on the back for their accomplishement.
The view is awesome and that church steeple along with your monument well placed in the shot.
