Piran - Slovenia medieval town

An ancient coastal town with a picturesque old town core. Of all the towns on the Slovene coast, Piran as a whole has the most original town architecture, with a partly preserved town wall with seven mighty towers, a symbol of the past power and pride of the city. In the centre of the town is Tartini’s Square with a bronze monument of the famous violinist and composer Giuseppi Tartini.

Hi Tsilla,

great architecture you captured in a very nice light and colors and a good sharpness on the The violinist monument.. lovely blue sky, looks neat and clear and the red roof tops adds a nice contrast and coloration to the overall presentation... beautiful frame too..

Beautiful POV on Slovenia's beautiful statue and architecture. The vertical positioning was good for this composition, sharpness and brightness of the image are fine. I also like this kind of framing, I can see you use Photoscape, too. :)

the beautiful Piran and the Tartini square with his statue. :) Your image made me smile (maybe I'll upload similar image soon). Thank you.

I really like Piran, because of its architecutral beauty and rich history...and the old city part is truly amazing...it reminds me of Venezia a little bit, because of the architecture (well, after all this part os SLO was under Serenissima repubilc for a while).

I like the POV and the composition. Colours and presentation are wonderful as well.

Hi Tsilla
as you can see architecture of the coast, slovenian and croatian is typical venetian .
This is due to the fact of lot of centuries of venetian permanence here. Well soon we ll invade this ancient land and will return Venetian Republic!
