I like the geometric ornaments of this eye-catching building in central Ljubljana , shown here is a partial view of the facade of the Cooperative Business Bank Building designed by architect Ivan Vurnik , it was built in 1921 and is considered to be one of the finest examples of Slovenian national style architecture .The frescoes on the facade and interior wall paintings are the work of the architect's Vietnamese-born Helena who had taken part in her husband's research and design of distinctive Slovenian architecture.Thank you for looking and reviewing this photograph ,
Scanned from a print , added contrast and saturation to bring out the faded colours , cropped to near symmetry , hum i think it's ok , a littler OE on some of the windows i know , sharpened and framed,

Hi Carol,
Wow this is a striking facade! Well observed and captured. Try next time to use the perspective crop so the slanted wall are less obvious. Nonetheless a fine cheerful posting!

First of all .. .those names!!! How on earth do you remember the province and town names? no easy task to spell them!
And how on earth do you always remember all the great information .. after 7 years! You must have a great memory my friend!
Love the symmetrical crop you've done here. Excellent idea to really make it stand out. What an amazing facade indeed .. intricate design and painting. Great eye to see and capture this.

I agree with you about the geometry of this, Carol! There's a great symmetry and balance to the shot, with the perspective providing a flow to the repeating pattern of windows. There is a little loss of resolution/detail due to jpeg compression I suspect, especially where the apparent size of the patterning gets smaller, but it's nice work!

Wonderful colors and nice architecture! The sharpness and POV is nice, except the shot of the building is slightly slanting towards right side but it worked well.

Hi Carol
You did a great job of cropping to get the pattern as symmetrical as it is. Marvellous details and colour not something we think of for eastern European countries. The pattern at the very top looks somehow out of place as one would think there should be sky or something. I am assuming there were more floors on top that we can't see.
