Another photo I made at the Vintgar Soteska. This is the one place of the gorge that is man made. These are the opperating tools for controlling the water level during the spring season. It is connect with a man made dam.
The Vintgar Soteska Gorge is 1,6 Km long and the river Radovna is running through it. This gorge is located 4 km noth-west of the well know town Bled. The gorge was accidentally discovered by Jakob Žumer, the Major of Gorje, and the cartographer and photographer Benedikt Lergetporer in February 1891.

Hey Niek! Long time no talk. I've been out of the loop for a while dealing with family problems, but I've been making a lot of posts lately from a recent trip to Seattle, Washington (USA). I'm impressed as usual by all of your posts over the last few months. Looks like you've been to the states yourself --- if you're ever in the Washington DC area let me know, maybe we could get together!
I chose this picture to critique because sadly it hasn't been given any critiques! I think you took this picture to share information and history with the TL community, rather than to show an inspiring photograph. Nonetheless, I like the photo. It's actually a little weird to see just a beautiful misty and calm river in the background and a varied assortment of old rusty (and rather morbid looking) metal tools.
You certainly do get to travel a lot. I'm jealous! I've never been out of the United States.
