[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
I do love Charles Dickens, critics of his might say that he went for the emotional jugular and that he even might be sentimental or even worse manipulative, but really, he had a consistent message to get out: that the plight of the poor and unfortunate is everyone's concern, and this story tells it best - against the backdrop of the Christmas season, the time to celebrate, give gifts and welcome friends and family into warm homes to share festivity and generosity. I think that a Christmas Carol is not so much a tale for the family as it is Dickens trying again to pierce hardened hearts of the - during that time - men in society. The men who had trained their eyes not to look down at the gutter or the darkened doorways where society's less than fortunates were cowering for mercy, help, a hand up or a hand out. I think this story speaks directly to those men in Dickens' day who could do the most to rectify the wrongs described in this tale.

Hi -
Your perspective in this shot is wonderful with great choice of color. You composed this very nicely.
Have a great 2009!
Grace

You get an award for this wonderful shot Jure! Amazing work, I love the mysterious grainy look, with the white park bench seats and the top of the umbrella popping out! Wonderful details, I love the blueish color here! A favorite!

Pa nas je le nekaj Slovencev na TL. Super.

Odlična fotografija, ki skupaj z besedilom ustvari močno kompozicijo.

Lep večer še naprej,

Hello Jure,

I'm not sure what to say,
but this is just fantastic.
I feel so attracted looking at this picture.
The perspective, colour and the snowfall is just brilliant. Well done Jure.

Amir J,

wow! totally snow...love this composition..tfs

:-)

Very emotional. Not only at christmas time.

TFS, Martin

interesting composition with the cold tones, the person with the umbrella, not centred, a fine POV for the depth with the path perspective... and the finest is the well captured falling snow, truly adding a lot of charm to this photo

Hi Jure, What a peaceful scene. I like the tint you have used. The white snow flakes, benches, and umbrella all make this scene look as if it is out of the past.

Nice effect... I think I need some hot cocoa now. Lisa

Good capture Jure. I have seen a Photoshop technique to create snow like this, I should really try it!

Good composition, light, colours, and subject.

The note doesn't really help write a critique!
