[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This square is named after the greatest Slovene poet, France Preseren (1800-1849). His poetry is a symbol of longing for love and freedom, one of his poems beacame the national anthem.
This monument of Preseren is the work of Maks Fabiani and sculptor Ivan Zajc.
The square based on the Italian model, is dominated by the ornamental facade of the Franciscan church.

TL photo all the way! POV is great. You managed an interesting FG and BG. Many would have photographed the building as a whole. Good frame and note!
Cheers

Hi Francis,
Did you convert this shot to HDR by any chance? I ask as there is some haloing around the statue and building. I like the POV here. If it was HDR be careful of the light smoothing settings ;), a mistake that is very easy to do.

TFS,
Scott.

Hi Francis,
What a great point of view and excelleny lighting and perspective.TFS.

Bonjour Francis
Very good point of view and nice morning light
Maybe a little oversharpened, particularly on people and the figure of the statue
Have a nice day

Hello Francis,
The vertical composition shows well the statue, the church facade, and the splattering of pedestrian. The image is well exposed and sharp. (I read the discussion that the haloing effect may have been due to slight overdoing it, something that I often do myself). Best regards...
Danilo

I like the low pov and the wide-angle view you have captured here. Good sharpness throughout, in foreground and background, and good management of levels, light and shadow.
Possibly a little over-sharpened in my opinion? Sharpening has created some bright "stars" or highlights on lit areas (in the leaves of the tree, for example) that might be better left alone?
