Up hill [1]

Climbing up from “ Monachil” to “ Parque Natural” with a view on “ Alfacar” we will end this day on 2550 meters. No sure were will sleep this night.
I think Autumn is late in the “ Sierra Nevada” we only saw a few signs
This is one of them

The Sierra Nevada, meaning "snowy range" in Spanish, is a mountain range in the region of Andalusia in Spain. It contains the highest point of continental Spain, Mulhacén at 3,479 m.
It is a popular tourist destination, as its high peaks make skiing possible in Europe's most southern ski resort in an area along the Mediterranean Sea predominantly known for its warm temperatures and abundant sunshine. At its foothills is found the city of Granada and, a little farther, Málaga and Almería.
Parts of the range have been included in the Sierra Nevada National Park. The range has also been declared a biosphere reserve. The Sierra Nevada Observatory is located on the northern slopes at 2800 m.
Formation
The Sierra Nevada were formed during the Alpine Orogeny, a mountain-building event that also formed the European Alps to the east and the Atlas Mountains of northern Africa across the Mediterranean Sea to the south. The Sierra as observed today formed during the Tertiary Period (65 to 1.8 million years ago) from the collision of the African and Eurasian continental plates.
Geography
Central to the mountain range is a ridge running broadly west-south-west - east-north-east. For a substantial distance, the watershed stays consistently above 3000m in altitude.
On the southern side of the range, several long but narrow river valleys lead off towards the south-west, separated by a number of subsidiary ridges.
On the steeper and craggier northen side, the valleys have less regular orientations. This side is dominated by the Rio Genil which starts near Mulhacén and into which many of the other rivers flow.

Hi Ruud,
I like this POV that make this lanscape so huge and us so small compare to it. The mountains are so beautiful and I like how you've composed this photo with the red tree in the front. Very well done.
Luc

Amazing scenery. Well captured.
TFS.

Hi Ruud,
Very interesting landscape! It is rare to see strong and desolated mountains. They have a vegetable cover? On the photo, we see only rock. I like the beautiful lead line with the white city and the road in bends. I imagine the great time that you had there! Bravo! Annie

Hi Ruud,

Great panoramic view!!! Wonderful details and colours!! I like the fact that you've included the tree branches into your composition.
Well done and TFS :)

Constantinos

Look at the amazing array of colors the mountain has! Amazing! Great gorgeous red tree also! I will be climbing Mount Pinnacle in Arkansas next week! I really like this shot Ruud!
Nice!

I like the landscape picture and the POV Very cool. Thanks for sharing.

I love the single flaming tree! The connotations it evokes are endless! Instead of bringing stone tablets, you have brought some great pictures from the mountain!
Cheers
