[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This is one of the many ornate columns within the Alhambra, a Moorish palace that is one of the major attractions of Spain. The decorating patterns are often script with religious meanings.

Due to the high elevation of Granada and the Alhambra, the weather is surprisingly cool despite the architecture used here which has come from much warmer climates.

I really like this shot Dan, the exposure is spot on (did you shoot in raw?)its nicely framed by the arch which makes it almost adstract, (it looks as good upside down as it does this way up).
its the exposure that really sets this off for me ther are real contrasting lighting conditions here and it would be easy fo the shadow or highlights to be clipped, but you have got it perfect (IMHO) TFS
