Hi John. A very nice photo indeed, full of warmth and companionship. In our camera clubs they say max 7 elements in an image - well, 7 people does the trick. Composition is also very strong and dynamic (you created a suggestive triangle with the placement of the people).

I like the colour of the frame - it tones the image down (possitively) so that the attention is drawn to the lady, afterall, she is in the brightest area in the image. Only one thing I noticed - the pointing finger of the left hand appears amputated. That is one of the things about portrait photography that I fear the most - to include hand(s) in the image; they always poses a threat to me.
