Today again: Sevilla Spain !
From the Costa del Sol to Sevilla An excurssion from Torremolinos to Sevilla, 2½ hrs.

One of the things for which Sevilla is famous, is the cathedral. My former posting was about the ceiling and how I did lay down on my back to make the shot above me .. today I like to show you the Cathedral floor where I was streched out. Click here for previous posting

We always like to believe what our eyes tell us .. but here we are tricked! This is a complete flat floor, layed in structure like this with flat marble stone !I looked 'up' in the structure and you see this .. an 'upgoing line' turning around it was the 'down going' .. Than to realise that over the Centuries millions of foots must have walked over here ...

Thanks for popping in Folks
Bye
John T

Muy interesante. Presenta un aspecto tridimensional muy atractivo.
Saludos.

Gave illusie John; de schuine hoek waaronder je 'm schoot vergoot het effect.
Goed gezien
Huub

John,

you have totally tricked, warped and twisted my eyes and mind with this photo. I cannot see the flat tiles... huh!
jaco

That flour remain me old video game. Almost the pyramid of Q-Bert or the Marble-Maze.
I find the first game mostly funny then the second by the way!

NO, NO! 20 days to Christmas. It can't be!!!!

Wow John, the floor is so cleverly laid out. Being marble makes us realise just how hard it would have been to lay. Gives me a headache looking at it. You show it well, thank you...

I was hoping to see a photo of you laid out on the floor, with the Japanese ladies running away from you.

Nicely composed graphical shot John. Love the repitition and pattern of the shot.

Good shot John, they do like strange floors in Spain. I remember a floor in Alicante that made you feel queasy if you walked on it for too long, due to the pattern, every step felt like you were going up or down hill.
Thanks for sharing.
Michael.

It took me a while to see that it is flat.
Amazing.

Very nice floor shows very well the cube effect in 3-D. The colours are good. It makes a nice graphic image. Must very impressive to see the whole floor. I wouldn't like it in my kitchen though..would drive me crazy and I would be falling down the 'steps'...LOL! TFS.

Hi John.Mooie compostitie van een opmerkelijke vloer die iets weg heeft van het nieuwe monument in berlijn.
Heel appart
groet Frans

Hi John, this is a great close-up on the pattern. Must be really tricky walking on the floor :)

TFS, Yan

Great effort John! very well captured...

Fascinating how eyes can imagine things that do not exist. Very good abstraction.

Ha John,

Well, for the idea you get the smiley. It realy gives a 3D effect.
I think you missed the focus, or your were in such a devotion fot the Japanese ladys that you got shacky.

Hendrik

A very well done floor real artistes. It certainly can fool you. It seems a bit out of focus or was this done on purpose.

Here is a beautiful effect of the kinetic art " à la mode" in the Sixties. Like what, the modern ones did not invent anything. I also saw similar effet(en trompe l'oeil)) at Pompéï with floors the mosaiques ones. Thank you to recall us that the history is inspiring for the present. Cheer for this photograph. Annie

very nice shot,
you've turned a simple floor into somethink very incredible, great abstrack
geometry of this photo is vonderful

Très beau trompe l'oeil Jean, incroyable ce que les artisans ont pu créé à l'époque avec peu d'instruments. The more I look at the image the dizzier I get.... Great presentation. TFS
