This is my first attempt at extracting an image (an owl obviously) from its original background.
I wont go through the steps cause i have totally forgotten how to do it.
All comments are most welcomed.
Thanks to everyone in anticipation and specially to seneca77 and h_sedghi for their useful help |

I read in the forums this was your first photo with deleting a background. For your first attemtp it is quite nicely done. Not sure which method you used for the selection as they are different ways. I found at the beginning the polygonal tool was easy to use, as it allows you to pause when you need a break from the selecting manipulation. Once all selection is done:
Select/Feather (2 is good)/Select/Inverse. Then push 'delete key' on the keyboard. This will delete the background. After this, you could use the 'eraser brush' to tidy up any edges that you want. You will now have to make a new layer and colour it for the 'new' background. Hope I have been able to help you.

Jejejejeje, este pollo cuando lo fotografiaste estaba vivo o estaba disecado?
Leva mucho curro lo de dejar las plumillas de los bordes sin recortar.
Guapo el animalillo.
Besos.
Very good this work although for being the first one.
Impressive the aggressive look.
Felicidades Martha
