Merendera montana (L.) Lange (M. bulbocodium Ram., o M. pyrenaica Auct.), de la familia de las liliáceas es una pequeña planta bulbosa, ampliamente endémica de la península ibérica.

En la península ibérica es una de las especies más abundantes de los tierras de pastos de las ovejas y en las rutas usadas por los rebaños. Crece en un amplio rango altitudinal, desde tierra baja (400 msnm) hasta el piso alpino inferior (2600 msnm). Suele florecer en bordes de caminos y sitios secos y pedregosos en prados de montaña.
Se puede encontrar en sitios de altitud, como en la Sierra de Gredos, el Alto Aragón, sur de la provincia de Badajoz, País Vasco, Galicia, todas ellas en España.

Merendera montana (L.) Lange (M. bulbocodium Ram., Or M. pyrenaica Auct.) Of the family of liliáceas bulbous plant is a small, widely endemic to the Iberian Peninsula.

The Iberian peninsula is one of the most abundant species in the grasslands of the sheep and on the routes used by the herds. It grows in a wide range of altitudes, from the ground floor (400 meters) to the floor below Alpine (2600 meters). It usually flourish in edges of roads and sites in dry and stony mountain meadows.
It can be found at sites altitude, as in the Sierra de Gredos, Aragon High, south of the province of Badajoz, the Basque Country, Galicia, all in Spain.
