[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Dando continuidade a minha série das férias em Tenerife apresento outra imagem das esculturas que representam as diferentes tribus de Guanches, os primeiros habitantes das Ilhas Canárias.


"En la población guanche se encuentran dos tipos raciales: cromañoides y mediterranoides. Los restos más antiguos son del siglo IV a. C., siendo la mayoría de la era cristiana, hasta el XV.

La colonización de las islas por norteafricanos se produjo probablemente en diversas migraciones, a las que contribuyó la desertización del Sáhara y el empuje de los establecimientos fenicios y romanos en el norte de África. Importaron animales domésticos (cabras, ovejas, cerdos y perros), que cambiaron por completo la frágil ecología de las islas y contribuyeron a la desertificación de las islas menores, e introdujeron el trigo, las arvejas o guisantes y la cebada.

Se sabe que la llegada de los aborígenes al archipiélago provocó la extinción de algunos grandes reptiles y mamíferos insulares, como por ejemplo, el lagarto gigante Lacerta goliath (que llegaba a alcanzar hasta un metro) y la Canariomys bravoi (rata gigante de Tenerife).

Isabel,

A composição em diagonal ficou muito boa. Pena que a luz oposta não deixa muito dos detalhes das estátuas a vista.
O baixo POV também ficou muito bom com as linhas da calçada.

Hi Isa,
I like the repetition of the statues and the pavement in this photo a lot. I think you should have positioned yourself in such a way that the photo did not show the partial building and cars. Also the waiting game would have been good here as well. The persons do not really add to the abstract look of it. This is also a photo that could benefit from a lower positioned horizon. The center position makes it look static.

Really like the flow of composition through this shot, the balanced lead-in from all corners towards a vanishing point nicely punctuated by the figure in red. The eye is beautifully directed through the frame, well done.

I'm not sure if it was your intention to keep the statues dark & lack detail & just show them as silhouetts? I would have preferred to see detail, at least in the first statue,to show us the artists depiction of these people,see my WS for a comparison & let me know what you think please. I do like your POV & how the lines in the walkway draws our eye right into the scene.I like the inclusion of the people esp' the red clothing as it to draws us into the scene as well as giving us scale for the statues.
