Meet The Devil

Yes, that's the Devil!
This picture was taken in an very interesting exibition of witchcraft devices from recent and ancient times. I loved the time Ispent there.
This devil was modeled in goat skin, and was found in a cellar used for satanic rituals in Switzerland.
I didnt have a tripod with me, and the room was very dark, so I placed the end of my camera lens flat against the window of the door that enclosed the little room where Mr Devil was, and handheld the camera for 2 seconds.
The tone of the skin was a lot more brownish, but while treating the image I thought this color was even more suitable, and anyway, the light in the room WAS redish, so this is more or less what it looked like to the naked eye.
Hope you like the image..even if not the subject.
Comments are welcome.
P.P. Usual trio, plus masking out some distractive bits behind the main subject.
Desaturation of the eyes and teeth..for greater realism. |

Hi Emanuel
What charming smile! :)
You managed this bad lighting situation with a great tact. Excellent result. The tones are diabotical on the dark background. I like much! Bravo! Annie
