Hi Lika,
Hignlights, are just not under control. Something about numerical photography, is you've got to keep highlights under control..if you don't you'll lose details, and no post process will be able to render right. Here it seem that you went for compromise..trying to save both highlights and shadows area, resulting in a so so contrast, and presentation.
Better under expose to keep highlight details, then raise details in shadows during post process.
The composition is fair, but I think it doesn present a real point of interest. Just my opinion.
