I like this photo, I feel like listening to Uncle Ernest. The picture you have here certainly tells a story. Being a beginner I don’t’ know all the technical aspects of this shot but I am sure it has something to do with the lighting with just enough background detail but not so much that it is distracting.. The shadows cast on his face speak of the wisdom of his years. Yet you have captured something in his eyes, mischievous? Sad? Or just happy and proud to be part of your photo? Is that a smile waiting to come out? I don’t know, but he certainly makes one curious enough to want to get to know what he might be thinking or to sit and listen to the stories of his life.
