Advantages of a clothes line

-Saves money
-Zero greenhouse gas emissions per load[(2 kg of greenhouse gas emissions from the average mechanical clothes dryer per load)
-Laundry smells "clothesline fresh" without using chemicals
-Less fabric wear and tear
-Laundry items do not shrink (hot air from a mechanical clothes dryer may shrink items)
-No static cling
-Laundry items stay softer (mechanical clothes dryers tend to remove short, soft, fine fibers)
-Laundry items may be less wrinkled (items left in a mechanical clothes dryer tend to get wrinkled)
-Laundry items may dry more quickly on dry or windy days (summer or winter)
-No risk of fire (mechanical clothes dryers can potentially catch on fire)
-No risk of toxic fumes (gas-powered mechanical clothes dryers can potentially leak gas)
-Avoids the potential of airborne lint and reduced air quality
-Eliminates heating up the inside of a house by a mechanical clothes dryer
-Eliminates the noise from a mechanical clothes dryer
-Provides a source of exercise and beneficial sunshine
-Helps protect habitat (the loss of natural habit potential from a mechanical clothes dryer is estimated to be 1.5 square metres per load of laundry based on Primary production correlations)
-When drying clothes indoors, evaporating moisture will remove heat from the air which could save on space cooling costs.
-More revenue for those who sell clothes lines, clothes pins, drying racks, etc.

Are you convinced?

Hello Leica.
This is crazy POV and I really love this craziness. Fantastic curves from the FishEye lens, excellent luminance.

I am thoroughly convinced AND I do it! We hang out all the time, well....not my drawers....but towels and stuff! Nice work Leica! LOVE the extreme wide angle here! Different and interesting composition, so much more interesting than the usual! Nice work, excellent notes!

Bonjour Leica,

Bonjour Leica
Parfaite utilisation du fish eye; belles couleurs; j'aime beaucoup

I like the point of view of the image. It's funny to have the feeling that I'm looking up while I'm looking straight at my computer screen. Terrific sharpness, the colors look a bit bleached from the sun, no pun intended, but I think a bit of color saturation might add to the image.

Good points about using a clothes line. I actually just drape some things over the garden railings in the summer here in Spain. Things dry within 30 minutes sometimes.
I've heard there are places in the States where it's against the law to use a clothesline due to the way it "looks". Can you imagine? That's not everywhere, but in certain towns in New York.

Good shot Leica,
Jim

Hello Leica,

Amicalement
JJ

Love this shot.
Good use of the fish eye, nice lines and curves. I find the composition quite interesting. Good colours , exposure and contrast. "Feels like spring"
Happy shooting :)

Hi Leica!

Incredivble composition! Really beautiful shot! Nice comment!

Regards,
Edward

My eye is drawn first to the Laundry (Main subject), the following curvature of lines and dwellings portraying exactly what you shot for. Great composition, Leica!!!
