[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
By a sunny afternoon in Port Vell, port of Barcelona.

Before the Barcelona Olympics in 1992, the Port Vell, the city's old obsolete harbor was only a run down area with empty warehouses, industrial buildings, refuse dumps and railroad yards. In one of the most drastic urban renewal projects, the area was transformed into a yacht basin and entertainment center, opening the city up to the sea. A coastal road was moved underground and a pedestrian street now stretches from the Columbus monument to the Barceloneta neighborhood.

A brand new wooden pedestrian bridge, the Rambla de Mar connects the Rambla with the Maremàgnum, a complex with shops, cinemas, bars and restaurants. Behind the Marèmagnum are an IMAX theater and Barcelona's aquarium.

Superbe cette photo. Ton titre m'a bien fait rire. J'aime beaucoup la répétition des lignes horizontales (le plancher, le banc et 2 chandails). Bravo.

Sylvie, et ben toi aussi tu prends les gens de dos !! très bonne compo, un alignment parfait en horizontal, et il y a ce pigeon qui casse la régularité des lignes.
je trouve que la lumière est un peu forte sur les planches qui occupe bien tout son espace par ailleurs.

I like the title. The pigeon is really an observer in mask :) Very good capture, and informative note. Also very good to see the relations in the three family on the bench.

je n'avais pas vraiment regardé celle là ; mais en 2eme lecture je la trouve géniale , j'ai bien ri moi aussi en regardant les pattes des quidams assis sur le banc et celles du pigeon !
et le pigeon qui a l'air de s'appliquer à suivre la ligne jaune pour ne pas se faire remarquer ! comme toujours ton excellent coup d'oeil.

The pigeon is perfect in this composition - trying to pass by that bench on the quiet. :) And three generations sitting on the same bench also adds to that photo a lot.
Actually, as I'm in love with Spain a bit, I wish I was sitting on that bench. :)

quand je regarde cette photo je me demande qui est le sujet ???
Peut être le pigeon bien qu'il soit bien au milieu,
Le banc et les gens certainement pas, ils ferment la vue, c'est le décor. Les planches de l'avant plan oui c'est ça ... composition graphique horizontale avec personnage central qui semble suivre la ligne jaune.
en coupant juste à l'ombre des bancs je trouverai cette photo agréable.

i love the composition of this photo, and we can distinguish easily the three groups, each enjoying in a different way a lovely afternoon.

The picture in view well depicts the holiday season in Spain. High intense light, people sitting on the bench, wodden jetty, and a wandering pigeon - this is typical sea side of Barcelona. Lovely shot indeed.

Thanks for sharing a free aspect of life when people are on vacation.
