Hitchcock was in Barcelona but Tippi Hedren was not, unfortunately ;)

The Birds (1963) - Alfred Hitchcock

Hitchcock's classic about a woman and mass bird attacks that follow her around isolated California community.

The scene where Tippi Hedren is ravaged by birds near the end of the movie took a week to shoot. The birds were attached to Tippi's clothes by long nylon threads so they could not get away.

The film does not finish with the usual "THE END" title because Hitchcock wanted to give the impression of unending terror.

Critiques [Translate]

I like the composition: the sharp angularity separating the pier amd water; and of course the birds advancing on the people.

I didn't give you full points only because a) I wish the girl didn't have her back to us (this is a very minor thing though), b) and this is the main reason, is because I find the pic's colour to be off. There seems to be a strong blue dominance here.

Anyways, b/c of the simplicity of the scene I think this would be better suited for b/w. For me colour is an element as important as any other, and just like anything else, I chop out all unnecessary elements. Tell me what you think of my WS.

J'aime beaucoup la couleur ! et ta compo est très bien faite, l'oeil glisse du premier plan avec ces pigeons, sur la diagonale du quai pour arriver sur la femme allongée.
très bonne bonne maîtrise.

Le soleil, l'eau couleur aqua, les pigeons, c'est super comme sujet... Ta photo est très nette.

Interesting shot, Sylvie. I like the title and the way you captured so many pigeons looking over the edge - just as the man is. Well framed.
