Plaza de España, Barselona

The actual Plaza de España is a beautiful round-about with a grand ornate fountain being the centrepiece for this is a large 6-way intersection, where major streets such as Gran Via and Paral·lel pass through. Also, it is a major hub for buses that travel to all other parts of the city and beyond. The great passage of stairs (and escalators) leading up the face of Montjuic toward the MNAC - Museu National d' Art Catalunya (National Modern Art Museum of Catalunya) is where one will find the Magic Fountain of Montjuic, where on weekend nights takes place a fabulous show of water, lights, and music. The neighbourhood of Sants historically began as a resting post for travellers heading into Barcelona which was once surrounded by a huge city wall, whose gates closed shortly after dark. Even to this day, the area still serves as a point of entry for travellers whom now come enter through the city's international train station, Estació Barcelona-Sants. The area is largely inhabited by locals and boasts a busy commercial area featuring narrow streets, plazas, and a large park where factories once stood. Sants itself has an eclectic display of colourful political graffiti, lots of bars, cafes and restaurants scattered around its streets.

great photo Alex! :D love the movement of lights :D well done!

Nicely done Alex. Good motion blur, well composed and fine colour and detail. Perhaps a little unsharp but not annoyingly so. Well done and TFS,
David

Hi Alex,

Wow, great one! Like the effect of the moving cars! :-) It really shows the hustle and lively city fibes you get in Barcelona, which I agree is a great city. Cheers, have a nice day! Bianca.

Hello Alex,

The nights of Barcelona are really colorful, perhaps a city that never sleeps. Your vision from the Hotel Palaza Cataluña is a beautiful shot in which movement of objects are looking fantastic. An excellent picture my friend, well done.

Many thanks for sharing this image.
