[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
A new camera and a long weekend in Spain - what more can you wish for? The weather wasn't exceptionally good, but good enough for a dedicated photographer and lover of storms to set up the tripod on the hotel balcony and watch a terrific thundercloud move in from the west. And as it happened just around nightfall, it was a good opportunity to try out different settings and exposure times. The Panasonic gets a lot of criticism for the noise, but I can live with it.

After cropping and resizing I clarified a bit (this has become SOP for me and I wouldn't do it for prints, but it seems to look better on monitors), and finally I ran it through a noisefilter in PSP.

23.55 Portuguese Time.
I was here sited, looking at my screen and smiling alone. You know...it has been a long time since i did this: went to give my night classes, came home exausted, and runed to my computer to see what´s hapening on the TL world. And as manny other times i came by mainly to see if i got a «made of bytes green smile» from you. Not the smile, but the words that usually come with it make the green thing look a dam mirror of my un-green face. Well, i guess i will sleep confortable now. Sweet dreams Per.
Oh, by the way...nice clouds.

As Billy Connolly stated : "There's no such thing as bad weather, only the wrong clothing"
A new camera demands thorough testing ;-)
I hope the weekend did you good.
Metalic lifeform goes for an eveningwalk.

Une ambiance particulière se dégage de cette très belle scène.Malgré le peu de lumière,l'image est bien nette. J'aime bien!

Not much more you can ask for then a peacefull evening, a view like this and a warm evening breeze. You did great with exposure. I guess a litle bit loner exposuer woudl bring out the pal trees to the right a bit more...but i am siting at a pretty dark screen right now so i miht be fooling myself :) Anyway, it is a beautifull capture. Green and purpel and a lonely street lamp.

very nice shot, i like the dark cloud, good compo too.well done!

Storm coming? I think the palm trees and the street light are very nice.

Noise? I see no noise, Per. Nice sky you captured here, the palm trees are a lovely sight after a long rainy day... TFS!

Nice shot Per. The mood captured here is very impressive. Good luck with your new camera - it looks like you're getting used to it very quickly.
