THE REAL SCENE
 |
|
| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
This was taken inside a restaurant in Barcelona. What you see beyond the young couple eating dinner is not a painted scenery but a real scene on La Rambla. Because of the tinted blue-gray glazing of the restaurant window and the sun already low on the horizon, it has an eerie stage set feeling to it. The butt joints of the glazing (no frames) helped the continuity of the scenery. It looks like a stage set! I was so surprized myself, when I saw the final photo. I adjusted a little bit the the levels control in Photoshop to reduce the contrast.

Hi Andre,
Like you, I find this photo very interesting. I had to look at it a few times and read the note! I agree, it does look like a painting back drop.
I like the originality of it, the couple in their afternoon lunch, and of course the outside scene.

Interesting effect, like seeing two different dimensions juxtaposed.

Hi, Andre,
It's a very interesting daily life scene.
A nice idea to show the street bustle behind the window pane.
I like the mood and elegance of La Rambla.
