THE UNMOVING GREY QUEEN
 |
|
| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
She is an umoving mime artist dressed in gun metal grey color, with her body and hair painted of the same color. She is trying to earn some extra money from the tourist that walks Las Ramblas Streets. Every 10 minutes she will move parts of her body.
Barcelona's old city is, without doubt, one of the nicest and most romantic of Europe. Its small streets, shops, the air you breathe, everything you see here invites you to wander around, getting to know every place of this charming area. You should walk leisurely around without rushing. That is the best way to appreciate this city and Las Ramblas.
The RAMBLA is, of course, the best known landmark of Barcelona. Meandering down from the Pl. de Catalunya to the Columbus statue, filled with newspaper kiosks, flower and animal stalls, and all sorts of artists, it is undoubtedly the place where everyone comes together, both tourists and locals, from the most inconspicuous to the most exaggerated representative of all sorts of urban tribes.
I deleted all colors from this photo except on the mime artist herself and her money container because the color behind her is too garish and her costume is lost in the background colors.
