La Rambla.

This street flows like a river - day and night.

I agree with Federico García Lorca in that it is "the only street in the world which I wish would never end".

The name 'rambla' means in Catalan an intermittent water flow. The name is derived from the Arabic 'ramla' which means 'sandy riverbed'.

Wiki:
La Rambla is a 1,2 km long tree-lined street in central Barcelona between Barri Gòtic and El Raval. It connects Plaça Catalunya in the center with Port Vell by the Mediterranean sea.

Hi Pentti!

Thanks for sharing this photo. Great DOF.

This is what I like about TL. I get to see things that I would otherwise not. Your note was very informative.
