| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
I have often tried to post heavily post-processed images and adding the original as workshop. This time I do the opposite. This photo of a saling boat turning into Mondrago Bay for the night was enhanced only slightly for posting (rotating, cropping, clarification, resizing and colour saturation - in that order). The image in the workshop was enhanced further by using a filter that enhances all edges, saturating the colours even more and adding a texture filter that resembles old paper to give the impression of a painting or drawing. And finally a gold frame.
Please tell me which one you prefer. I am constantly hesitating between reality and reality with a twist. |

This is a real cracker Per, some purists might not like the boat being so central, but for me it works perfectly and the amazing colours you have captured of the sea and sky really lift the image. The composition is perfect. And what a beautiful looking place.

Nice contrasting color and I like the placement of the boat. Seems you could back off on saturation just a tad, but it is your vision, not mine. B
Lovely picture here Per, the colours are amazing. Great job on the PP'd picture also. I can't really choose one or the other as they are both equally beautiful. TFS

I'm glad you posted the original image, Per... as I think the WS version is a bit overprocessed. Well, no... that doesn't express my feeling correctly. I mean it isn't really convincing. As for the original, I'm with Brent about the saturation. Also, I see some stray pixels above the horizon and near the rock on the right.
And yes, I know, I'm a terrible nit-pick ;o))

Hi Per,
Beautifu composition. The colour of the sea is kind of unreal and that somehow takes away from the image. May be too much saturation perhaphs?
