[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Mallorca does get colder in winter than most people care to imagine. And anyone in doubt can read George Sand's description of this truth in her book abouth the winter she and Frederic Chopin spent on the island in 1838. But when the sun comes out, there will always be a sensation of spring, especially for a camera lens that does not feel the actual temperature. And there will always be flowers in bloom and vivid colours to catch.

This photo was cropped and clarified before resizing, and after that the colours were saturated a bit and the whole thing sharpened to round it of. But I tried to perform all these enhancements so that they are not really noticeable.

Just wondering how cold it gets in Mallorca during Janary. Any idea? Its so nice to see flowers growing at this time of year Per. Very nice composition and the colours look natural. I like the shadows on the wall and those ceramic tiles.

And you succeeded very well, Per... very subtle PP work. A stunning composition, the PoV is perfectly chosen. Lots of colours in this shot, and long shades. I love it. IMO one of your best shots so far.
TFS, TFS².

Hi Per,

This is a really effective shot. I like the composition, with interesting angles and perspective and the contrast of the white wall with the vivid colours of the flowers.

You achieved your desired effect of doing the work on the shot without it being noticeable. It is a very natural looking image.

Regards,

Nigel
