| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
Time for me to head over to the landscapes once more. I'm getting a bit concerned about my habit of being very incoherent in my posting. Though, actually I do not have enough images to create a suitable amount of portfolios that will cover all the different subjects I've been shooting. Until then, you'll have to bear with the untidiness for a while.
This image was shot in the magnificent nature in Östergötland. During this session I was overwhelmed by gratefulness to the image stabilizer in my lens. I did not have a tripod with me at the time and the light had become critically dim. I knew that noise can be quite a struggle when shooting fog. Consequently, no higher than ISO 400 was to be used. To get the composition I wanted, I would have to zoom with an effective focal length of 400 mm. To get enough light with the aperture I wanted, the shutter would be set to 1/50. These parameters are not working very well together if sharpness is a crucial matter. Thanks to IS it was possible with semi-handholding against a window. |
